About Edison Chong, MD
Dr. Chong graduated from the University of Queensland and began his medical career at Redcliffe Hospital in Brisbane, supporting various departments. He subsequently completed GP training in Toowoomba before moving back to Brisbane. With special interests in skin cancer medicine, he has completed additional post-graduate training in dermatological procedures. Dr. Chong also focuses on chronic disease management, chronic pain, and has a keen interest in travel medicine. Additionally, he is knowledgeable about the use of alternative therapies such as dry needling and medicinal cannabis, and its applications. He is currently accepting patients in Ipswich.

He offers a thorough exam of your skin using a dermatoscope (magnifying lens) to detect any signs of skin cancer. For any suspicious lesions, he takes biopsy samples for pathology testing, especially important in the context of chronic disease management. Additionally, he can perform minor skin procedures such as grafts and flaps.
